What We Need
The Manager, HRBP and Labor Relations, is a crucial HR role for our motion capture studio where your responsibilities will involve enhancing HR best practices, fostering a positive work culture, and handling labor relations issues. This role will develop deep partnerships with Mocap leaders and managers as well as be a trusted resource to all employees. The position will implement talent management, coaching, org assessment, compensation, retention, and team member engagement programs, and much more.
This is a onsite/hybrid role, with a primary office location in Petaluma.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.

Identifies, investigates and resolves grievances, harassment allegations, and work complaints, Coordinates with Center of Excellence (CoE) for resolution of complex, mediated or arbitrated grievances.

Works closely with managers to provide guidance and support on contract interpretation, policy interpretation, compliance and conflict management.

Collects information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. This may include management and union proposals, pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances.

Partner with and between People COE’s and global HRBP teams to deliver seamless human resources processes and programs.

Advise, deliver and drive adoption and execution of key HR program cycles including feedback, compensation, promotions, job leveling and annual workforce planning.

Develop recruiting strategies with managers; liaise with recruiters to provide insight on staffing needs, position requirements, how the role fits in the organization, unique considerations and budget guidance.

Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.

Assists with preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organizations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum 4 years HR experience in a union environment

Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization

Practical experience providing formal/informal executive coaching and development in all areas of guidance

Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.

Ability and desire to effectively operate in ambiguous situations with a high degree of flexibility

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $91,100 and $134,840 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
