What We Need
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Community Manager to lead our community efforts for Civilization: Eras & Allies, our innovative mobile 4X strategy game that brings the beloved Civilization franchise to mobile platforms. Leveraging the beloved IP and innovative gameplay mechanics, our mission is to create an engaging, global community where players feel valued, connected, and heard.
In this role, you’ll be the crucial bridge between our passionate player base, the publishing, and the development teams, helping shape the future of the game while maintaining the rich legacy of the Civilization brand.
What You Will Do
- Execute and contribute to the regional (Americas, Europe) community strategy for Civilization: Eras & Allies by implementing and helping shape short- and long-term initiatives that align with our game’s goals and the Civilization franchise values.
- Contribute to and execute on a comprehensive community content calendar, delivering events, patch notes, and player-facing updates.
- Drive communication efforts across all community-owned platforms, including content creation, community engagement, and crisis management.
- Build and nurture relationships with content creators, streamers, and KOLs.
- Collaborate with our publishing team in Asia and development team in China to ensure consistent global community engagement and culturally relevant content.
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels for player feedback, translating community sentiment into actionable insights for the product team.
- Ensure the “voice of the player” is represented and advocated for internally.
- Manage relationships with external partners/agencies for content and moderation support, resource allocation, and engagement support.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on community sentiment to identify opportunities and address concerns promptly.
What Will Make You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in community management, with at least 2 years in mobile gaming.
- Experience contributing to and growing gaming communities, with demonstrated success in managing player engagement across multiple regions.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with gaming-focused social media platforms (Discord, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, Twitter/X).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively bridge communication between players and development teams across different cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in community-level project management and cross-functional team coordination.
- Proven experience with community content pipelines, from creation to execution, including stakeholder management.
- Ability to set and achieve strategic goals that align with the Product Team’s success metrics.
- Experience supporting and executing community activations, creator programs, and influencer campaigns, with a track record of successful engagement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including crisis communication and public relations experience.
- Ability to analyze community metrics and create data-informed strategies that drive engagement and retention.
- Proven capability to navigate cross-cultural dynamics with sensitivity and effectiveness in a global gaming environment.
- Deep understanding of the 4X strategy genre, its player base, and competitive landscape.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $114,400 and $169,300 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
