What We Need
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Product to lead the teams developing innovative capabilities for our backend-as-a-service platform to meet the ambitious needs of our publishing organization. You’ll manage the careers and direct the strategies for multiple product managers while working closely with business leadership to identify new opportunities that accelerate 2K’s growth and delight our players!

What You Will Do
●    Lead the vision and strategy for a portfolio of products within our platform organization. You will identify new opportunities to support and advance the goals of 2K Publishing, driving alignment with stakeholders and championing the needs of the product and the team.
●    Develop strong, positive partnerships with teams across 2K, including product, live services, design, marketing, and production. You will inspire trust and confidence in your own teams’ abilities to deliver through reliable execution, clear and proactive communication, and customer empathy.
●    Work closely with your peers in engineering and program leadership to plan effectively, validate product and technical assumptions, and iteratively deliver value that moves the needle for 2K and our players. You will contribute to our shared understanding of what good looks like across multiple dimensions of quality. You will advocate among your peers on behalf of the product, the customer, and the player.
●    Manage 2-6 senior and mid-level product managers. You will be accountable for their professional growth and enable their success at 2K through strong direction, mentorship, and modeling of leadership behaviors. You will also be accountable for growing your team as your organization’s scope increases with continued success.

Who We Believe Will Be An Excellent Fit
●    7+ years in product management, ideally with 2+ years managing other product managers.
●    Experience in AAA game publishing.
●    Experience coaching for performance and culture. Experience recruiting top-level talent eager to take on new problems in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. Excited about leveling up your team and committed to cultivating a fun and fulfilling environment where everyone can show up as their authentic selves.
●    Adept at presenting to senior management and key stakeholders to gain support for your ideas and those of your teams. You excel at earning trust and are comfortable saying “no” – and can align your audience on why it’s the right answer. Superb communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are a must, as is solid attention to detail.
●    Sufficiently conversant in engineering to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. Understands web APIs, client libraries, SDKs and microservice architectures. Experience with platform products and technologies are a plus.
●    Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a related field. MBA strongly preferred.
●    Eager to grow as a product and team leader, and equally excited about growing talent in others.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $163,400 and $241,820 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
