We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our Art team. This role acts as a liaison between the programmers and artists working on a wide variety of features and tools for an exciting new open world driving game.
What You Will Do:
Build and maintain technologies and art workflows. (Environments, props, characters, shaders, lighting, and rigs)
Collaborate with Art and Engineering to drive research, identify new workflows, technologies for improved pipelines, and streamlined creation processes
Mentor junior technical artists
Establish and implement naming conventions within assets, tools, and workflows
Collaborate with other technical artists daily to find opportunities for improved workflows and tools
Partner with the engineering team to ensure build stability, and to ensure that memory and performance budgets are being maintained
Learn from and grow with some of the top talent in the industry
Who Will Be a Great Fit:
5+ years in the games, film, or animation industries
Fluent in 3DSMAX and Maya with significant experience creating tools, shaders, character rigs, and workflows
Conversant in Python, and familiarity with MEL Script/Maya API experience
