About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Crypto Research Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong financial background, a passion for the crypto space and are eager to contribute to the growth and success of our research, products and sales services. As a client-facing Crypto Research Strategist, you excel in providing top-tier client support while also making significant contributions to cutting-edge, best-in-class crypto research. You possess a thorough grasp of the crypto market and recognize the importance of digital assets within traditional investment portfolios.The candidate will be based in New York and report to the Head of Research. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Crypto Market Research: 
    • Demonstrate a proactive and curious approach to research, continuously seeking new information and insights in the fast-evolving crypto space.
    • Develop quantitative and qualitative insights on crypto markets.
    • Conduct quantitative analysis and apply portfolio theory and allocation principles to develop strategic recommendations for crypto investment.
    • Stay up to date on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and product developments to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
    • Create research reports, market summaries, and presentation materials to support business development and client education efforts. 
    • Proactively spearhead our collaboration with US stakeholders in both distribution and research, driving strategic initiatives.
    • Serve as a spokesperson at industry events, participating in panel discussions, and leading webinars to represent our company's interests and expertise.
    • Collaborate in the development of institutional-grade crypto research content, including weekly insights and detailed primers on various crypto assets, to enhance our company’s thought leadership and market presence.
  • Client and Sales Support: 
    • Support the distribution team in sales efforts across the US, providing insightful crypto market analysis and research to facilitate client engagements and partnerships. 
    • Meet with prospective clients to discuss our services and investment offerings and handle client inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment opportunities.
    • Provide product-specific insights and recommendations to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding crypto market fundamentals, portfolio composition and performance.
    • Develop and deliver product-related presentations and training sessions for clients and internal stakeholders. 
    • Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and strategic alignment, thereby enhancing brand visibility, advancing research initiatives, and driving sales engagement.
    • Act as representative for the company, presenting at conferences and roadshows, and leading webinars to highlight the company’s excellence and leadership.
  • Product Support: 
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the ETF/ETP landscape, especially as it relates to crypto markets, and advise on product alignment and strategy.

Key Deliverables

Stakeholder management

    • Proactively spearhead our collaboration with US stakeholders in both distribution and research, driving strategic initiatives and enhancing our market presence.

Thought leadership and research engagement 

    • Actively manage media inquiries to ensure ongoing, proactive engagement with the press. 
    • Participate in conferences, panels, and webinars to champion a research-driven approach in our industry leadership.
    • Institutional-grade research, especially around portfolio allocation theory

Support for the Distribution Team with client requests and meetings

    • Prepare presentations and market analysis reports for clients
    • Participate in client meetings as the subject matter expert, providing insights and responding to client queries regarding market trends, product structure and investment insights. 

Educational and insightful market updates

    • Conduct weekly market updates providing a brief overview of market changes and potential impacts. 
    • Develop and hold bi-weekly Sales Training Sessions to enhance the team's understanding of crypto, products and market nuances. 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFA or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Strong passion and understanding of the crypto and blockchain industry. 
  • 3+ years of experience in equity research, investment advisory, product strategy, or related roles within the financial services industry
  • Solid quantitative skills with a good grasp of portfolio theory, allocation, and financial analysis. 
  • Knowledge of ETF/ETPs and their application in the financial markets, particularly within the crypto space. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience. 
  • Proactive, curious, and detail-oriented personality with a strong analytical mindset. 
  • Previous experience in the ETF or crypto industry is highly advantageous.

This role is based in New York City and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday - Wednesday.

(NYC only) Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $135,000- $175,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
