What you’ll do

  • Work with a team that designs, builds, maintains, and optimizes a real-time, event-driven data processes in AWS.
  • Lead a center of excellence for a horizontal analytics and data engineering team(s).
  • Ensure proper execution and alignment with data vision and objectives
  • Take lead in strategies to acquire, store, process, and transform data across the entire enterprise.
  • Share your knowledge of data engineering and analytics with the rest of your team and mentor application developers in best practices in developing real time data solutions.
  • Ensure all systems and processes are fully monitored and metrics captured to analyze system and data pipeline performance.
  • Design end-to-end solutions to support key business datasets.
  • Support analysts and data scientists and business users with their data requirements.
  • Data modelling for production applications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of all data-related platforms and solutions
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, data management, and data security.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data engineering and analytics efforts.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Why we will love you

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing technical teams centered in a culture of excellence.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field, with a focus on managing complex data projects and leading teams.
  • Expert in programming languages commonly used in data engineering and analytics, such as PythonSQLR, or Scala.
  • Experience designing and implementing data architecture strategies that support the collection, storage, and analysis of large volumes of structured and unstructured data on analytical platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with ML model training, evaluation, and deployment, using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with deployment technologies and frameworks for scalable and reliable ML model serving, such as Kubernetes, Docker, or TensorFlow Serving.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, actionable insights that drive business value and inform strategic decision-making. Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets.
