About the Role:


We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for our spatial portfolio to drive instrument and consumables growth. This position will report to the Senior Director of Product Management for Spatial Platforms and be responsible for leading the execution of product management activities, ensuring the right product concept, fit, requirements, and eventual launch of products. This person will be leading product management activities within the spatial platform as well as proteomic cross-platform activities.

This role will require interfacing with multiple stakeholders across the entire 10x Product Management team, as well as collaborating with key contributors in marketing program management, marketing communications, sales, finance, R&D, and distribution. The Staff Product Manager will be responsible for owning the business case, financial assumptions and pricing, positioning, and portfolio fit for the assigned products.

What you will be doing:

  • Work on life cycle management and new product introduction for products 
  • Develop an integrated strategy and product roadmap that supports the Product Portfolio
    market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, competitive landscape, and technology landscape
  • Define customer requirements and user needs 
  • Manage supply/demand efforts across the spatial products
  • Serve as primary customer advocate during product development; drives tradeoff decisions
  • Interfaces with manufacturing operations, quality and planning on product issues to ensure products meet customer expectations
  • Educate sales and regional marketing on assigned product lines
    Designs / implements effective market and forecast models with stakeholders with granularity at the regional, market, and segment level
  • Set pricing strategy
  • Set and deliver against product profitability goals

Minimum Requirement

  • BS in life science field 
  • 6 years of experience in product management/marketing in Life Sciences
  • Must have experience in customer interactions in either a Sales, Business Development or Marketing function
  • Must have strong communication skills with experience communicating to all levels of an organization
  • Experience conducting market research and developing detailed product requirements

 

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Ability to influence across the organization at all levels and serve as player/coach depending on business needs
  • Experience managing products across multiple product portfolios and simultaneously managing deliverables for products at various stages of development and life cycle stages
  • Strong technical knowledge of genomics, and/or next generation sequencing and molecular biology products
  • Experience in spatial assays highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term product strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Proficient written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams covering various internal organizations
  • Exceptional time and project management skills and ability to prioritize competing requests
  • Willing to travel up to 30%

 

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
