About the role:

We are seeking a passionate, results-driven professional to join the leadership in our Global Procurement Team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Supplier Management, the candidate will take up the responsibility of leading the direct & indirect procurement functions to support evolving needs of the business. What you will be doing: 

  • Lead the US Direct & Indirect purchasing teams to ensure superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure timely involvement of the procurement team in support of product launches and initial R&D development
  • Establish and manage procurement metrics (delivery, financial, …) to measure efficiency, compliance, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Serve as the SME for purchasing processes and drives campaigns for internal user training and compliance
  • Lead continuous improvements, automations to improve efficiencies and policy compliances
  • Leverage market trends and technologies to identify innovative solutions for procurement challenges
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop roadmaps for key indirect material categories and procurement systems & technologies
  • Seek out key stakeholders throughout the business to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Ensure category strategy alignment with relevant stakeholder groups
  • Align resources to drive the implementation of procurement strategies and strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop relationship with key suppliers and manage supplier performance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influencing decisions on procurement policies and practices

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement operations and strategic sourcing
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing category strategies and sourcing efforts for indirect procurement areas such as R&D, CapEx, IT, Marketing, Facilities and Services, preferably in a medical device or life sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing procurement operations in a multinational organization, as well as growth and development of procurement teams
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience with implementing digital procurement tools and platforms, such as ERP systems or AI-driven sourcing tools. Oracle ERP experience strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity
  • Strong strategic mindset and analytic skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data to drive insights and recommendations
  • Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package.
