We are seeking a Senior Production Planner who will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes to meet global demand efficiently. The Senior Production Planner will oversee the planning, scheduling, and quality management of consumables material movement, ensuring alignment with production cycles and supporting the seamless execution of global supply plans.
The Senior Production Planner will collaborate closely with Procurement and Global Supply Planning to address material and capacity readiness, and manage inventory levels. This role is instrumental in developing build plans, analyzing stock allocation issues, and ensuring timely resolution of demand fluctuations. The Senior Production Planner will play a key role in driving efficiency, supporting global supply chains, and contributing to our operational success.
What you will be doing:
- Manage planning, scheduling and quality of consumables material movement in accordance with the production cycles to support global demand.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of production work orders.
- Coordinate, track and execute Oracle transactions to ensure raw materials and intermediates are available throughout the production process, from start to completion of Kits and/or Finished Goods.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement on addressing raw material shortage, prioritizing specific work order(s) for raw material reservation.
- Collaborate closely with Global Supply Planning to ensure continuous and efficient supply of Kits and/or Finished Goods to distribution centers, aiming to minimize inventory level while maximizing efficiency and reducing operating expenses by managing stock levels.
- Manage global demand analytics and work with Global Supply Planning to develop monthly recommended build plan for the site.
- Identify and mitigate key risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations, capacity constraints and material shortages.
- Anticipate needs for seasonal peaks, product transfers and new product launches.
- Analyze and promptly resolves stock allocation issues
- Review replenishment target based on consumption trends and delivery lead time
- Ensure optimal stock availability by working closely with Global Supply Planners to maintain a clear view of regional stock levels, adjusting the build plan as needed to address potential stocks shortages.
- Actively participate in S&OE process to ensure Intermediate, Kits and/or Finished Goods production aligns with the Global Supply Plan Weekly Stoplight status.
- Track monthly KPIs and report on performance metrics
- Ensure that accurate information is communicated and there is a formal channel (minute meeting) for escalation if needed.
- Deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines, staying organized and responsive to challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the department manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Supply Chain or related field. Diploma holders with more years of experience will also be considered.
- 5 years of experience in production planning or master scheduling, or similar capacity.
- Proficient in MRP utilization for supply chain and inventory planning principles is required
- Experience with Production Planning, Item Master Data (Bills of Material, Routing, Lot Costing Size, etc), and Capacity Planning.
- Proficiency in MS excel
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and problem-solving skills in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Sense of urgency as to objectives and timelines, while maintaining flexibility to shifting priorities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-tasks.
- Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations. Strong organizational and reporting skills
- Experience in ERP systems
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Oracle Cloud.
