10x Genomics is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst that will collaborate with management to ensure logistics processes, practices, and initiatives adhere to global standards. The candidate will be responsible for improving product workflow by analyzing, developing, and implementing logistics plans that impact production, distribution, and inventory on a global scale. The Logistics Analyst will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing Logistics operational process flow mapping and global standardized metrics.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, managing service providers, analyzing price and service efficiency, updating SOPs, project management, and partnering with operations stakeholders on logistics matters.

What you will be doing:

  • Identifies underperforming areas in Logistics and suggests data-driven improvements or resolutions to problems
  • Analyze, develop, and implement global transportation plans, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs
  • Creates and reviews procedures for Logistics to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost through data
  • Identifies underperforming areas in Logistics and suggests data-driven improvements or resolutions to problems
  • Consolidates and provides global rollup KPI’s for Logistics MBR (monthly business reviews) and captures reasons for variance from goals
  • Partners with finance to ensure all Logistics sites costs are accurately forecasted for quarterly budget updates and AOP
  • Partners with Production, Planning and Procurement to ensure all Logistics sites, space and resources are accurately forecasted for quarterly budget updates and AOP
  • Develops and implements global freight auditing program to support Finance/Logistics and cost savings measures
  • Lead Logistics Sustainability tool development and deployment
  • Develops and manage the continuous improvement, cost reduction Logistics program
  • Evaluates and provides guidance to management for all warehousing, transportation and freight costs, as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S./M.S. in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business or a relevant field, with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of data management systems platforms Snowflake, Python, SQL, Java Script, J Query, Retool or web Development skills
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.
  • Ability to collect data from internal/external sources with formats in both structured and unstructured.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems that arise in relations to logistics activities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience in warehouse and transportation analytics and cost reductions
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Logistics system implementation project management experience (TMS, Freight Pay & Audit, Control Towers, and Supply Chain Visibility)

 

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • 8 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems that arise in relations to logistics activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP
  • Strong knowledge of business systems & data management
  • Experience in biotech or medical device company
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience with domestics and international transportation models, specifically for small packages, air cargo, ground, and ocean
