In 2023, we launched a men’s line called Mando.  Mando uses the same technology as Lume but has different scent profiles.

We are a 6-year-old fast growing, omni-channel deodorant and personal care brand that’s transforming the way that humans do hygiene. We joined forces with Harry’s, another disruptive brand with great people and infrastructure, to accelerate our growth. We are a team of self-starters that roll up our sleeves and get it done. The Harry's Inc working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As the Senior Manager of Quality & Regulatory, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality, compliance and regulatory affairs for our brand. This includes all products across Lume and Mando with delivery to all markets where these products are sold. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements 
  • Support product development with the process of pilot/production batch, standard sample evaluation and approval for New Product Introductions 
  • Review of CM production procedures to ensure formulation scalability
  • Develop and maintain Contract Manufacturer quality standards related to Lume and Mando products 
  • Create the technical transfers process of formulas (existing and new) to new suppliers 
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor product quality and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to our product manufacturing and ingredients
  • Manage our third party regulatory partner on all compliance projects and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and coordinate responses to inquiries and inspections 
  • Ensure product formulations and labeling comply with local and international regulatory requirements 
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and documentation as required by regulatory agencies (e.g. MoCRA, OTC registration, Health Canada, etc.) 
  • Conduct thorough investigations into quality incidents and implement preventative measures to mitigate further risks
  • Assess potential risks related to product quality, safety and regulatory compliance 



This should describe you: 

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry) 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory affairs, preferably in the personal care or cosmetic industry
  • In depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable in the personal care industry
  • Preferred OTC validation experience
  • Preferred aerosol formulation/manufacturing experience 
  • Fascinated by process engineering, chemistry and how formulas come together
  • Proven ability to make judgments or recommendations in uncertain and unstructured environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g. Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus 
  • Willing to travel to our domestic and international suppliers

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $130,000-$140,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
