Nous recherchons un-e artiste en personnages senior passionné-e pour rejoindre l'équipe de projet de Haven Entertainment Studios. Le-la modélisateur-trice de personnages sera responsable de tout ce qui concerne les personnages pendant le développement du jeu. Le-la candidat-e travaillera en collaboration avec de nombreuses équipes, telles que Concept art, Animation, Rigging, Game Design, etc. afin d'assurer une haute qualité et de consolider la direction visuelle avec les intentions de conception.

L'artiste de personnages  senior est placé-e sous la responsabilité du-de la producteur-trice (personnages).

Responsabilités et tâches

  • Réaliser des personnages de premier plan dans leur intégralité.

  • Créer des accessoires et des éléments de surface dure en relation avec les personnages.

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les ingénieurs-eures de rendu, créer et maintenir des shaders de peau, de cheveux et de matériaux très réalistes.

  • Travailler en collaboration avec le-la directeur-trice artistique et les artistes conceptuels pour connaître les intentions artistiques et les délais à respecter, vous fournirez des modèles primaires aux programmeurs afin qu'ils puissent les intégrer dans le moteur et tester les premières intentions de jeu. 

  • Penser de manière créative, et rechercher des références pertinentes à partir de diverses sources, pour résoudre les défis artistiques quotidiens

Expérience et compétences requises

  • Bon sens de l'anatomie et des proportions ;

  • Compréhension de la forme, du langage des formes et de la couleur ;

  • Compréhension des contraintes techniques dans le développement de jeux et capacité à les appliquer lors de la création de personnages ;

  • Connaissance technique approfondie des shaders liés aux personnages, comment créer des peaux et des cheveux réalistes tout en comprenant les contraintes budgétaires ;

  • Forte éthique de travail, autodirection et vision artistique

  • Solide connaissance de la sculpture numérique - avec ZBrush ou un logiciel équivalent ;

  • Connaissance des outils de conception graphique (tels que Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Marvelous Designer et After Effects). 

  • Maîtrise des outils d'édition et de développement de jeux vidéo

  • Compréhension des principes d'utilisabilité et de l'architecture de l'information

Position - Senior Character Artist

We are looking for a passionate Senior Character Artist to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The character modeler will be responsible for everything character related during the development of the game. The candidate will work in collaboration with many teams, such as Concept art, Animation, Rigging, Game Design, etc. to ensure high quality and consolidate the visual direction with the design intentions.


Reporting

The Senior Character Artist will report to the Producer (Characters).
 

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Realize industry-leading characters in their entirety

  • Create Props and hard-surface elements in relation to the characters

  • Work closely with rendering engineers, crafting and maintaining highly realistic skin, hair and material shaders.

  • Work in collaboration with the Artistic Director & the Concept Artists to know the artistic intentions and the deadlines to respect, you will provide primary models to programmers so they can integrate them into the engine and test first gameplay intentions. 

  • Think creatively, and search for relevant references from various sources, to solve daily artistic challenges;

Experience and skills required

  • A good sense of anatomy, and proportions;

  • Understanding of form, shape language and color;

  • Understanding of the technical constraints in game development and ability to apply them when creating characters;

  • Deep technical knowledge about character related shaders, how to create realistic looking skin and hair while understanding budget constraints;

  • Strong work ethic, self-direction and artistic vision

  • Solid knowledge of digital sculpting - in ZBrush or equivalent software;

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Marvelous Designer and After Effects) 

  • Proficient in videogame editing & development tools

  • Understanding of usability principles & information architecture

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members across multiple disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise of UE4 and strong interests toward UE5

  • Interest in a gaas project which will require adaptability to customization and production of character assets in an online gaming environment

  • A sharp eye for UX design and a passion for visual communication

  • A highly creative and innovative spirit
