Our Amsterdam Office is KRAFTON’s EMEA Headquarters which covers the Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS regions, with teams dedicated to Publishing, Esports, Content, Communications and General Operations. These teams support all local offices and development studios in our region.

Onsite, our Amsterdam Office also houses PUBG Studios which is busy with the development of an exciting new IP, currently known as Project “Black Budget”.

As the Esports Manager, EMEA you will develop, coordinate and oversee esports related operations for our EMEA office. You will act as a communication bridge between the esports team and external professional teams, tournament organizers, and industry departments to optimize the PUBG esports program for the EMEA region in accordance with the global esports vision. 

Basic Roles and Responsibilities:

First and Third-Party Event Operations  

  • Taking lead in organizing, planning, and executing parts of PUBG First party and Third-party related events in collaboration with the Esports Operations team, Esports Marketing Team, Director of Esports EMEA and selected external partners. 
  • Overview, observe and assist the execution of PUBG Esports events and prepare post-event reports in liaison with other stakeholders such as Content, Broadcast Partner and EMEA Esports teams. 
  • Assist in the global event plans and its execution with feedback and monitoring in areas such as roadmap, community sentiment, metrics collection and concept ideation. 

Marketing Assistance & Communications assistance  

  • Work closely with Esports Marketing team regarding team & players focused content creation, gathering and execution. 
  • Act as a PUBG Esports operations point of contact for EMEA, ensure global communication and synchronization between the Americas (North America, LATAM), Asia (Taiwan, Japan, SEA) and CN regions as well as the Krafton headquarters in Korea. 
  • Following, testing, and learning new updates from Content & Publishing EMEA Departments as well as Global Esports and sharing them with the team.

Pro Player and Team relations manager

  • Act as a point of contact for all PUBG Pro-teams and pro-players. Share information with them, gather their feedback, and be the voice of Krafton to them when needed. 
  • Manage PUBG Esports Pro-team & Pro-players related legal & financial paperwork (e.g., Team participation agreement, Revenue share, Content Agreements etc.) in liaison with Krafton Legal team, Director of Esports EMEA and Global Esports department. 
  • Assist in creating the PUBG EMEA Esports Regional Partnership program tactics and execution and assist on the scope & strategy of the program in liaison with Senior Esports Manager, Esports Operations Team and Director of Esports EMEA. 
     

Other duties that may be assigned by the Company and that would enter the scope of the Employee’s qualifications depending on work optimization and delegation. 

We are ideally looking for:

Someone that has tasted the esports fever and are looking to build on their journey: 

  • Several years of experience within esports or gaming industry
  • Proven work experience in esports operations and/or any project management in gaming 
  • Technical knowledge of arranging competitive events online and/or offline. 

Someone that loves games and geek culture and up-to date with Krafton’s games: 

  • Passionate understanding of Krafton’s PUBG” phenomenon 
  • Detailed knowledge of the PUBG esports scene and competitive gaming in general 
  • Detailed knowledge of games and geek culture 

Someone that can tell their story and listen to others in a clear manner: 

  • Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Great comprehension level and can read in-between the lines 

Someone that is reliable, spirited and focused on the goal ahead: 

  • Team player and self-motivator 
  • Keen eye for detail and high standard of organizational work 
  • Data-minded and results oriented 
  • Flexibility to work during event periods (including weekends and/or evening week days) when required
