Role: Account Director / Regional Account Lead (FTC - 18 months)

Location: Hamburg, Germany (three days a week mandatory on-site)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Regional Account Lead will have the opportunity to lead a Central Europe account for our largest fashion client, based in Hamburg, one of the key brand Cities. Reporting to the Regional Director, you'll collaborate closely with global and regional teams, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and spearheading impactful content production.

Partnering with the regional client, the Regional Account Lead, understands the complexities of working together daily and has a strong passion for championing and producing engaging creative across bought media, high-quality graphics, visual merchandising, and digital content across platforms. As a pivotal member of our team, you will lead all forecasting efforts, working closely with the regional producer to ensure successful delivery, while also building a partnership that consistently delivers added value to our client.

As a Regional Account Lead, you will motivate your direct team to excel in their roles and ensure effective communication up to the global level, aligning with overarching objectives. You implement and oversee best practice processes alongside your Regional Producer to optimize efficiency and productivity, all while maintaining a keen eye for potential risks and cultivating a solution-oriented mindset to address challenges proactively.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in large-scale accounts in FMCG industries, such as Beauty or Fashion and experience across multiple channels – because we do the lot, from TV to DOOH to press to 121 to display, social and content.

You’ll already be an Account Director looking for bigger challenges on a larger account where you can hone your existing skills and cultivate new ones. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Accountable for Central Europe account for 5 markets, including Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, based in Hamburg. 
  • Work closely with the Regional Producer to deliver a high volume of localized assets, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand guidelines. 
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the primary communicator on project planning, status, risks, and challenges. 
  • Lead projects from global handover to regional localisation & deliver, ensuring direction, control, and effective communication throughout the process. 
  • Oversee digital and print campaigns covering owned and bought media, managing multiple campaigns, languages, and channels. 
  • Provide team leadership, line managing up to 3 reports, while also managing onsite and offshore teams to deliver against global & regional briefs. 
  • Drive campaign initiation, execution, and closure, monitoring progress, controlling deadlines, and ensuring successful delivery. 
  • Conduct yearly reviews, produce data, lead monthly reporting and strategic QBRs, including invoicing and out-of-scope (OOS).
  • Lead weekly status and monthly governance calls, while also managing the overall forecast across all markets.
  • Review global campaigns, provide feedback to the global team, and update regional campaign trackers with forecast data.
  • Lead kick off campaign meetings with the support of Regional Producer, and handle out-of-scope and out-of-guideline conversations as needed.
  • Ensure brand guardianship of local briefs and global guideline changes, while rolling out local campaigns in the sales market and re-iterating local SLAs.
  • Maintain financial accountability and champion new business growth, innovation, and attention to detail.
  • Champion automation and innovation ways of working.  

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital and print, covering owned and bought media. 
  • Experience working with multiple campaigns, languages, and channels. 
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience, with the ability to line manage up to 3 reports. 
  • Strong account & project management skills, with experience managing onsite and offshore teams. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. 
  • Proven ability to drive successful campaign initiation, execution, and closure. 
  • Proficiency in financial management and forecasting. 
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to innovation and new business growth.
