Tax Administrator

NDH Advisors LLC (“NDH”) is a Chicago-headquartered public accounting firm offering best-in-class tax, accounting, and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high net-worth individuals, and family offices throughout the United States. With offices in Chicago, Kansas City, Houston, and Philadelphia, we are seeking a Tax Administrator to support our rapidly growing business. The candidate must possess the following characteristics: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong writing skills, high ability to multi-task, meticulous attention to detail, a strong desire to learn, willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and the ability to prioritize quickly and efficiently. 

The candidate will work directly with NDH’s existing Head of Tax Administration, Tax Liaisons, and company Partners to coordinate the administrative functions of the tax team. Specific responsibilities include: reception, document management, mailings, filing of 1099s, and client communications.  Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for various internal functions including: processing new client setups; sending engagement letters; and coordination and correspondence with tax authorities. The applicant will work directly with NDH’s Tax Administration team to coordinate the extending, filing, and tracking of tax returns, including mailing physical copies from the post office. The ideal candidate is understanding of the increased responsibilities during tax season, which may require extended work hours.

Successful efforts can lead to additional responsibilities including training and education in tax preparation. Candidates that demonstrate hard work, enthusiasm and ethical behavior will have excellent opportunities for annual advancement. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, employees are expected to be in the office three days per week as part of a hybrid work environment.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university;
  • Tax experience, course work, or experience working in a similar capacity is strongly considered;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Energetic with positive attitude;
  • Ability to take direction and see tasks through to completion;
  • Availability to work in the Chicago office at least 3 days per week.
